Q: I need a new stove. I currently have an old fashioned electric burner. Is there a type stove that you can recommend for home cooking. Is the investment in induction worth it for home cooking? Is one type of stove better then the other for types of cooking? (i.e. panfry, searing, boiling pasta, etc). Should I factor in the types of meals that I cook into my selection? I live in a town with few restaurants, so I want to make sure I purchase a decent stove. without over spending.

A: Hi Sudie-thanks for the question. I like cooking on induction heat. We do that at our Sea Girt location and it works very well. For different stove tops and someone to guide you on what works best for your kitchen, go see our friends at Mighty Young’s Discount Appliance for some ideas. They will guide you in the right direction I’m sure.
