The Friends of Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge will offer public “Snowbirding” tours of the refuge’s Wildlife Drive by jitney bus on Saturdays, January 28th, February 25th, and March 31st, departing at 1pm. Led by a Volunteer Master Naturalist, these tours are an opportunity to learn about and observe the exciting and often unexpected birds and other creatures that spend the winter at the Refuge. Tours will start at the Refuge Visitor Information Center, 800 Great Creek Road in Galloway. The tours will be limited to 12 passengers. The vehicle is able to carry 2 wheel chair participants. The tours will take a minimum of 1 1/2 hours and will be guided by a naturalist. A donation to the Friends of Forsythe is suggested.
